They then released the car back to me again, I took it for a drive, gave it full throttle, and same exact thing. Once again all was good, and the car ran great, but still a check engine light for a cam sensor. Then after bringing it back, the discovered that the third coil was bad and replaced it. It felt just like how my car was before I brought it into the shop for repairs. Then I decided to give it full throttle, and felt a noticeable thud in the engine, it than started misfiring immediately, lost a lot of power, and EPC light came on once again.

Except the car felt low on power compared to how it used to be. I drove it for a bit, check engine light still on. Anyway the car seemed to run fine, and all seemed good, so it was then released back to me. The previous owner JB welded it together. Shortly after, the upper radiator hose exploded while the car was running, and was replaced as well lol. So he then took the valve for the cam position sensor, and replaced it with a new one. He tried everything he could do on that Snap on scan tool to find a cam relearn, or something to clear the code. The technician then hooked up a scan tool to it, and determined that the cam position sensor was reading just fine, the voltage to the sensor was correct, and the cam was at 28° as spec.

It ran amazing, but there was still a check engine light, the code was for a cam position sensor, circuit low. Then my car my car was running once again. The cylinder head was then replaced, new timing chain, new guides, new cam, new lifters, new spark plugs, new coils, new fluids and gaskets. Warranty was then involved and we made a claim. Did a leak down test and confirmed a bad exhuast valve or guide. Messed with the coils, all the coils seemed to be okay. Brought it to my dealership to get diagnosed, the technician hooked up a scan tool and read the codes. Then it started misfiring really bad, check engine light started blinking, and EPC light came on. Restarted the car, and a check engine light appeared, I wasn't so worried a t the time. Stopped for a bit, when I reached my destination. Took it on a 400 mile road trip out of town. I had only put about 1200 miles on the car. Then a month later it needed a new battery, which I replaced as well. I also purchased an extended warranty for the car, new tires, and a new rear hatch mechanism. The car looked well taken care of with only 91,000 miles upon purchase.

VCDS - Windows Based VAG/VAS Emulator Running on Windows 10 圆4 I managed to get hold of a VAG cable and done a scan this morning - is there any clues it could be a EGR valve failure from the results? With a CAYB or CAYC code engine you can almost guarantee this will be EGR valve failure, do you know if the emissions recall has been done as this is known to cause what was already a highly failure prone compnet to be even more unreliable. Thanks for message yeah I don't know about if its had the emissions recall, I get in touch with VW and see (I only brought the car 4 months ago from a used car garage).
